December Highlights at Cumberland View Aged Care
The festive season has filled Cumberland View Aged Care with warmth, laughter and cherished moments throughout December 2025. Our community came together to celebrate Christmas in ways that created lasting memories for residents, families and team members alike.
A Season of Festive Activities
December brought wonderful celebrations that had everyone in the spirit of the season. Our community transformed Cumberland View into a festive wonderland with tinsel and Christmas cheer.
Our Christmas Lights Bus Trip was a particular highlight, taking residents out on a Wednesday evening to experience the twinkling magic of neighbourhood displays. We also enjoyed a relaxed Coffee Bus Trip to Mulgrave Country Club, where we had an unexpected encounter with the Grinch himself – proving that even grumpy characters can’t dampen our festive spirit.
Entertainment That Made the Season Bright
Throughout December, we welcomed talented entertainers who brought music and joy to our days. The always popular Jack the Music Man had everyone singing and dancing along to festive favourites. Lorenzo visited to share his musical gifts, and the talented Steph Renouf graced us with a beautiful Christmas Concert on keyboard. We were also treated to a wonderful performance by the Cumberland Village Review Christmas Show.
Our activities calendar was packed with engaging experiences. Cooking in Carter sessions brought out everyone’s creative side, and we were delighted to welcome Milo, our furry friend, for cuddles. When the hot summer days arrived, we found simple pleasures in cooling down with icy poles.
The Heart of Our Christmas: Our Resident and Family Party
The centrepiece of our December highlights was our Resident and Family Christmas Party. We were thrilled to welcome so many loved ones to celebrate together, creating an afternoon that perfectly embodied what Cumberland View is all about – connection, joy and community.
The Golden Girls provided amazing entertainment, encouraging plenty of singing, clapping and dancing throughout the afternoon. Our kitchen team put on a delicious spread of food and drinks. The combination of wonderful food, fantastic entertainment and the warmth of being surrounded by family and friends made it a truly special day.
