How to calculate the accommodation payments
The Effective Maximum Permissible Interest Rate is 4.91% from 1st January 2020 to 31st March 2020. This is reviewed quarterly by the government and subject to change.
Residents can choose to pay for their accommodation by a refundable accommodation deposit (RAD), a daily accommodation payment (DAP), or a combination of both.
The DAP is calculated by multiplying the RAD (or the unpaid portion of the RAD) by the interest rate set by the government
(currently 4.91%) / 365 days (/100).
For example: $713,000 x 4.91%
365 / 100 = $95.91 DAP per day
Or a combination payment at 50% of the price by the RAD being $356,500 and 50% of the price by the DAP being $47.96 per day.
The basic daily care fee is in addition to the above accommodation charges.
If charges such as a means tested care fee is deemed relevant, they are also in addition to the above.
Fees for additional services apply at $35 per day and are separate to the above. The costs and the additional services offered can be discussed on application. Refer to management for further information.
For concessional/fully supported residents the above accommodation fees do not apply.
Price is correct as at 1st January 2020 and subject to change.
