May Highlights at Cumberland View Aged Care

We’ve enjoyed a wonderful month at Cumberland View, rich with heart-warming moments and engaging experiences that represent who we are as a community! Each week provided new highlights, laughter and connection, which continued to reinforce what used to be the best kept secret, that we are indeed a very unique and special place to call home.

As May concluded we were excited to welcome baby chickens to our Concert Area, to watch them hatch and grow each day was joyful for everyone and residents thoroughly enjoyed stopping in for a visit, our little feathered friends certainly stole a few hearts!

We celebrated World Tai Chi Day with a calming and inspirational demonstration from Chris Bennett. His kind presence offered a sense of calmness and wellbeing, supporting our new holistic health and wellbeing vision. Later that week, we had a rather energetic and rhythmical drumming session with Jose! And we must also highlight the return of Milo the Therapy Dog!  All of his visits to residents rooms were cherished and many expressed lots of comfort and connection through their sessions with Milo.

We really enjoyed Mother’s Day, which included beautiful heartfelt celebrations that showed our appreciation for all of the amazing women in our community. The moment was complete with Scenic Bus Drives and themed food days (we had Mexican fiesta, if you didn’t notice!).
