Occupational Therapist Visit Empowers Residents in Retirement Living

Residents at our retirement village recently enjoyed an insightful visit from a Community Occupational Therapist and Independent Living Specialists, who offered expert advice and practical support for daily living.

The event gave residents the opportunity to explore a wide range of mobility aids and assistive equipment, all designed to enhance comfort, confidence, and independence at home. Residents received one-on-one guidance from the Occupational Therapist, who explained the services available and how to access personalised support tailored to individual needs.

There was strong interest throughout the day, with many residents trialling and purchasing equipment to suit their lifestyle. From walking aids to ergonomic tools for daily tasks, the event showcased how the right support can make everyday living more enjoyable and manageable.

It was wonderful to see so many residents engaged and eager to explore ways to maintain their independence. Hosting events like this reinforces our commitment to proactive, independent living and ensures our community stays connected with the resources they need to thrive.

We look forward to welcoming more experts to our village and continuing to support residents with practical, empowering initiatives.
