Therapy Dog Visits Bring Joy and Comfort to Cumberland View Residents

At Cumberland View Aged Care, resident wellbeing is always at the heart of everything we do and that includes welcoming some incredibly special visitors from Miracle Paws.

Therapy dogs provide more than just cuddles. Their calming presence can reduce anxiety, lift mood, and encourage social connection. Research shows that spending time with animals can lower blood pressure, ease feelings of loneliness, and even trigger happy memories in those living with dementia. For many residents, the gentle affection of a therapy dog offers a sense of comfort, routine, and companionship that’s truly meaningful.

That’s why we’re so pleased to continue our relationship with Miracle Paws, whose wonderful therapy dogs visit our community regularly. Whether it’s a gentle nuzzle, a wagging tail, or simply a quiet moment shared, these visits bring warmth and connection that enrich our residents’ daily lives.

At Cumberland View, we’re committed to supporting the emotional, physical, and social wellbeing of our residents. Initiatives like our therapy dog visits are just one of the many ways we foster a caring, uplifting environment for everyone who calls our community home.
