Tim Hall Celebrates 90 Years!
Tim and his wife Netta were amongst our first Cumberland View Retirement Village residents. Two months ago Tim moved into the Cumberland View Aged Care Living - Whalley Drive, where on the 30th April he celebrated his 90th birthday. Tim was the bus driver and after-hours maintenance man at the village.
Most unusual job? A call from a lady needing help to remove her necklace before bed!
The Halls, with their 4 sons and 1 daughter, lived in Daylesford, just 400m from the lake. The house came with a rowing boat business. Tim worked as a carpenter and when they moved to Melbourne he drove buses for Grenda.
Tim was an active and passionate AFL player until he had a life-saving operation at the Alfred Hospital aged just 32 years. He subsequently established and coached a Junior Football club at Hepburn. He is a Life Member of the Hepburn Football Club and a lifelong supporter of the Tigers. He gets pleasure watching his Great Grand Children play AFL.
Tim was surrounded by his loving family as he marked this wonderful milestone. Many happy returns Tim!
