Bowling to Happiness
The 2017/2018 Bowls season is well underway and it has been great to see the bowlers out on the sporting green making the most of the nice weather and social gatherings. The Bowls Club welcomes any new players of all levels including those brand new to the sport.
The benefits of lawn bowls is never ending, players get to enjoy the wonderful, friendly social aspect as well as helping tone muscle, strengthen their joints and increase their hand-eye coordination. Simple movements of the lower body added with the extra weight of the bowling ball sees stretching and flexing providing excellent exercise for the tendons, ligaments, muscles and joints. There are bowls lessons during the week for those who are interested in a relaxed, friendly, welcoming environment, so feel free to come down and have a go!
